Return, Refund and Cancellation Policy

At Whatacurls by Shanan Subhan, your satisfaction is our priority. If you're not completely happy with your purchase, we're here to help. Please read our policies carefully to understand your rights and responsibilities.

Commissioned Artwork

  • Originals:
    Due to the personalized nature of commissioned artwork, these items are non-refundable and cannot be returned once completed. However, if the final artwork significantly differs from the agreed-upon design, we will work with you to make revisions until you are satisfied.

  • Damaged Originals:
    If your commissioned artwork arrives damaged during shipping, we will consider repairs or rework at our discretion. To request repairs or rework, you must provide thorough video footage of the unboxing process clearly showing the damage. Please contact us at hello@whatacurls.com or call +91 9742310293 within 48 hours of receiving the artwork. Returns due to damage will be processed only after we physically inspect the damage and confirm eligibility. Any return shipping costs will be borne by the customer.

  • Digital Files:
    We do not offer refunds on digital versions of commissioned artwork. However, we will work with you to make revisions until you are satisfied, subject to additional fees for revisions.

General Policy for Artwork, Prints, and Commissioned Artwork

  • Returns:
    We accept returns for Original Artwork, Prints, and Commissioned Artwork only if they arrive damaged due to shipping. We take utmost care during packing and recommend shipping insurance for high-value purchases. If an artwork is accepted for return, it must be in its original condition, and the customer is responsible for the return shipping costs.
     

  • Return Process:
    To initiate a return for damaged items, please contact us at hello@whatacurls.com or call +91 9742310293.  You must submit your request within 48 hours of receiving the artwork. We will require proof of damage in the form of video footage or images. Once we confirm the eligibility, we will initiate the refund to the original payment source. The refund will typically be processed within 3-5 business days, but it may take up to 7 business days depending on the bank’s processing time.
     

  • Exceptions & Non-Returnable Items:
    We do not accept returns or offer refunds for:

    • ​Digital artwork purchases.

    • Final sale items or workshops.

    • Custom or personalized artworks outside of the commissioned category.
       

  • ​International Orders:
    For orders placed outside India, the same return, cancellation, and refund policies apply. However, please note that shipping timelines and customs fees may vary. Customers are responsible for any customs duties or taxes, which are not covered by us.

Art Workshops and Coaching

  • 1:1 Sessions:
    Participants must reschedule 1:1 art workshops and coaching sessions at least 5 days in advance. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 5 days' notice are non-refundable and non-reschedulable.
     

  • Group Workshops:

    • ​Recurring Series:
      Participants may reschedule sessions within a recurring workshop series up to 48 hours before the start of the session. Rescheduling is not available for non-recurring workshops, and no refunds will be issued. At our discretion, we may offer store credit for rescheduling.
       

    • Non-Recurring Workshops:
      No rescheduling or refunds are available for non-recurring group workshops. However, at our discretion, we may offer store credit for special cases.

Digital Artwork

  • Due to the digital nature of the product, we cannot accept returns or offer refunds on digital artwork purchases. If there are any issues with your digital file, please contact us, and we will do our best to address your concerns.

Cancellation Policy

  • Order Cancellations:
    Cancellations can be made within 48 hours of purchase for Original Artwork, Prints, and Commissioned Artwork. After 48 hours, cancellations will not be accepted. Once a cancellation is approved, the refund will be processed immediately to the original payment source. Refunds generally take 3-5 business days to reflect, but may take up to 7 business days depending on the bank’s discretion.
     

  • In rare cases, if the item is already shipped before 48 hours or if cancellation is requested beyond that on moral grounds, the shipping cost will not be refunded.
     

  • How to Cancel:To cancel an order, please contact us at hello@whatacurls.com or call us at +91 9742310293 within 48 hours of purchase, providing the cancellation reason. Cancellation requests will be processed promptly after verification.
